at a sad but celebratory private benefit for Aura Estrada, a young
writer, friend and lover of art who tragically died last year in a
bizarre body-surfing accident in Mexico. Highlights of the evening
were readings of her work by Salman Rushdie, Gabriela Jauregui, Peter

her widower, and fellow writer, Frank Goldman. Adrienne, Neal and

That's right I support Barack Obama! You read it right. I
went to his rally in Washington Square Park. Not only was his speech
fantastically written and delivered, it was very funny too. Man, what
a refreshing politician. Anyway, you do whatever you want, but I'm
all fired up about the Barack. I'm getting Obamafied! or Baracked!
I'm thinking of a number. Do you know
what it is? It's my credit score, and it's 227, which is pretty poor.

Where have I been? It's July and I haven't updated my News
page. I'm sure I've lost some interest in my site due to this but
let me try to rope you back in with some exciting information.
1) I just returned from teaching a week long digital filmmaking course
to 13-15yr olds. One child was even joined by her mother. We ended
up making a supernatural drama called "Ring Of The Bride"
that is totally awesome. Look for it on my video page.
2) Neal Medlyn's Land of Make Believe is on hold at it's
eighth episode while we make quick arrangements to produce episodes
9, 10, 11, 12. The show appears on Nerve.com.
3) I have a one man show coming up at Galapagos that I haven't written
yet every Friday in August. It was all very last minute but I'm going
to make something happen that is truly something. I may just show
"Ring of the Bride" and dance around a bit. It's called
Are You There Galapagos? It's Me, Carmine.
What else? Oh...
I'll be performing at the Catch Performance Series Birthday Bash on
August 19th at Galapagos. One piece with Adrienne Truscott

Steinbruner and Neal Medlyn.
Oh my goodness. Another good review.
Will it ever stop?
Neal Medlyn and I are working on some videos for Nerve.com.

Happy Holidays. I've been performing in Murray Hill's annual Christmas

Sebastian and I sang a pretty tune by the name of There's Always Tomorrow.
Adrienne and I are moving into a loft in Williamsburg.
Le Tigre was included in the line up of the Operation Cease
Fire festival down in Washington, D.C. on the 24th. There was a great
crowd and Le Tig had a great show. Two huge LED screens displayed
the background videos on either side of the stage. The anti-Bush song
and video, Seconds, went over pretty big. Click
here for more info for Operation Cease Fire.
The website gets published.
Spent the day shooting video with Neal
Medlyn for his upcoming show at Ars Nova. Neal runs. Neal hugs.
Finally working on the website.
Was on tour for the past month with Le Tigre. West coast
dates opening for Beck and then some midwest and southern gems. It
up with Le Tigre in Amsterdam to shoot some footage of the last ten
days of their European tour.
